haiden is 6 months old!

6 months ago, my best friend Christina had her second daughter. I had promised Christina I would do a babys first year for her (for the practice!) and I have to admit, I have been slacking. I was suppose to capture Haiden at 3 months, and due to snow and conflicting schedules, it just didn't happen. But let's not dwell on the past....I made it over to their house the other day and these are the images I fell in love with!!

Haiden is wearing her first easter dress in these next few. It was also her big sister's first easter dress!

sister love.

Thanks for being such a great guinnea pig Haiden!! I love you and your sister! xoxox

colton & jackson.

I first need to give out a big thank you to Clifton Farm for allowing us to come explore their beautiful property. If you would like to see what they are all about, click here.

So, the other day I had the opportunity to capture these 2 adorable brothers. It was a little bit of a challenge to get them in one frame together since big brother Colton is SO busy! I honestly didn't get many, but I did get some really cute ones of them individually. Their mom, Shannon, asked that I do them all in black and white, and I LOVE that. (while i do love bright, vibrant pops of color....i am a black and white photo freak!!) Anyway, here are some of my favorites from our time together.
so....meet cutie pie Colton....
and adorable Jackson!

i love his little rolls!

Thanks boys! You guys are so stinkin cute!

our texas trip.

I love Texas. But it's good to be home, back to normal, in my own bed, and back with my friends! I missed you guys! We are all still adjusting to being back on track in our house, but somehow I managed to go through all the photos I took while we were there. We took this trip not only to spend some time with our family (we don't get to see them very often!), but mainly to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. We had GORGEOUS weather, lots of laughs, really good eats, and drinks! ;) These first 2 are right before we left VA. I love them, especially the one with both of my girls looking out of the airplane window.
amelia is the only 6year old i know who loves jalapenos.....

fresh air!

These past few days have been incredibly gorgeous, and I can't even begin to express how refreshed I feel! I have been busy getting ready for a big trip, but yesterday I had to take a break and what better way than to soak up a little vitamin-d. addison and I went out into our yard, and let me just say...she was one happy girl.Until, a short while later, I did the unthinkable. We went back inside. She was pretty unhappy with me, but I really needed to get back to getting things prepared for our trip this week. Thankfully, we are going some place warm, so she will get a lot more outside play in a few days! While trying to redirect her from wanting to play in what little (muddy) snow we had left, I snapped a few photos from our time in the SUN!!
she kept running around with her arms up in the air and screaming with joy. it was hilarious, and i almost jumped in and did it with her :)

running!

1 more day and we will be in my favorite place. Texas, here we come!
