an oreo breakfast!

this morning, i was pretty busy getting amelia ready for school since today was the first day back (yay!!!) on normal time. thanks to daddy, addison had herself a very yummy breakfast this morning! she found the oreo's sitting next to the couch from the night before. it was pretty cute, and thankfully she still ate a healthy breakfast a little later. anyway, here is the aftermath of her tasty treat.....

happy birthday, nolan!!

On February 4th my insanely adorable nephew Nolan celebrated his 5th birthday!  Once they turn 5, I feel like all the "babyness" is gone. (i realize that may not make much sense to you....but you will know what i'm talking about if you have a child who has already turned 5!) I am so excited to see him grow throughout the next year. Due to snowy weather (boooo!) his party was rescheduled. This was actually the 3rd (if I remember right) birthday party of his that has been rescheduled due to nasty weather. Hopefully we have had enough snow this winter that by his next birthday it will be beautiful out and his party can continue on the planned day!

Anyway, his party was at the always amazing Toddlin Time here in Warrenton. The kids had SO much fun. I am a little disappointed due to the whole time I was snapping away, my camera was on the wrong setting, one that I never shoot on, but I did get a couple, so here are some from Nolan's party!!

the parachute was a huge hit
Nolan received a special birthday ride in the middle, and Addison wanted in on it too!

bubble machine, another huge hit...

Addison loved the bubbles too :)
I am in love with the little girl in the corner. Her silly face is such an adorable one, and Nolan's is too. Amelia however....she just looks scary!!
"Happy Birthday Nolan!!"
Nolan, I love you so much and hope you enjoyed your special day!

we survived!

what a snow! it was beautiful, and I was reminded how great our God is. He can take something so small, and make it into something so HUGE! I still don't really care for the snow, but we had a pretty good time for the one day that we were stuck in the house. Our electric was out all day Saturday, but thank goodness for awesome neighbors who had a wood stove and generator. They kept us warm and fed us some yummy food. Thank you Weymans!

Here's how we spent some of our time...
"does your person have....."
we watched some movies, until the power went out.
dancing queen...
addison LOVES to color....
...so does amelia :)
hot chocolate for the girls...
I thought this tree looked pretty
I know this is kind of a "summery" dessert, but it helped me get through :)
playing teacher...
and practicing her ballet...
amelia loves to go in when addison wakes from her nap, they play while she is still in her crib and giggle back and forth, it's pure music to my ears to hear them together.
watching daddy shovel outside...
I was thrilled to see this...the sky was so beautiful!
these were cool too.
Still counting down the days for spring, one more snow to go. hopefully just one more. Stay warm everyone!
